Sr. Tech. Specialist Water Networks

ROLE MAIN PURPOSE

Implement and oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of water and sanitation infrastructure within Kidana. Ensure reliable water distribution, wastewater management, and hygiene systems while maintaining regulatory compliance, asset integrity, public health standards, and operational continuity.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Control and supervise the execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for water and sanitation networks and facilities.
• Ensure O&M contractors fulfill contractual obligations related to water distribution, wastewater systems, and sanitation infrastructure.
• Ensure preventive maintenance planning is executed in full compliance with procedures and asset management standards.
• Supervise operation and maintenance works for:

• Water supply networks
• Wastewater and drainage systems
• Pumping stations
• Storage tanks and reservoirs

• Define emergency response procedures for water leaks, network failures, contamination risks, and sanitation system breakdowns.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability.
• Propose improvement actions to reduce network failures, leakages, and service disruptions.
• Develop and control critical spare parts lists for water and sanitation assets.
• Participate in the handover and commissioning of new water and sanitation facilities into the operational network.
• Monitor system performance indicators such as pressure levels, water quality compliance, flow efficiency, and sanitation performance.

Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil ,Electrical, Mechanical Engineer.

Professional and Technical Certificates (preferred): Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Professional Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience.
