ROLE MAIN PURPOSE:
Will be responsible to provide technical and operational expertise to support in manage the procurement process for all projects in Kidana related to Projects Departments, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining high levels of quality and meeting all projects’ operational needs.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of procurement strategies and plans in alignment with Kidana's objectives and the needs of its projects.
- Apply procurement policies and procedures in daily operations, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards and maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Support the monitoring of procurement budgets, and flag any deviations to ensure spending stays within approved limits and remains cost-effective.
- Conduct required evaluation for potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure that goods and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Support the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing to delivery and inventory coordination, to ensure efficiency and timely fulfilment.
- Support the execution of risk mitigation measures related to procurement activities.
- Collaborate with other departments in Kidana to ensure that procurement activities support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform Comparative Analysis: Create a side-by-side comparison of the key elements (pricing, delivery, warranties, etc.) across all quotations.
- Identify the lowest quoted price as well as any significant price variations between suppliers.
- Note any unique terms, value-adds, or differentiators that certain vendors may offer.
- Implement and execute Procurement Committee process
- Review technical specifications and commercial terms for material/product requests
- Evaluate supplier quotations based on factors like price, quality, delivery, and past performance
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and site visits as needed
- Recommend the most suitable supplier based on the evaluation results, for review and approval by the relevant authority.
- Coordinate with suppliers on proposed revisions and negotiate terms within the approved authority, escalating matters that exceed it.
- Ensure that the final contract language adequately addresses the concerns raised by the internal stakeholders.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from initiation through singing the contract.
- Track change orders and contractual variations.
- Maintain a contract register/database and track key expiry and renewal dates.
Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s in, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional and Technical Certificates (Preferred): Certified Procurement Manager (CPM) and any related procurement and contracts certificates.
Professional Experience: Minimum 3+ years’ experience as procurement specialist.
