Specialist - GL & Tax

ROLE MAIN PURPOSE

will be responsible to provide technical expertise for overseeing the recording of financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and reports, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the GL system and timely preparation of financial statements.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct financial data analyses to identify trends, areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Develop and prepare financial performance reports, offering recommendations for improvements to senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, working with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts, and comparing actual financial results to budgeted amounts.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and external parties, ensuring satisfaction with the organization's financial reporting and compliance efforts.

• Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

• Professional and Technical Certificates (Preferred): Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3+ years' experience as GL specialist.
