Specialist - AR

Role Main Purpose:

will be responsible to provide technical and operational expertise to manage and ensure timely collection of payments from customers and clients. And for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and resolving any billing or payment discrepancies.

Functional Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers and clients.

• Verify that invoices are properly coded, contain necessary information, and align with contractual agreements.

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure prompt payment.

• Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues in coordination with relevant departments.

• Process payments received from customers, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.

• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate and up-to-date records of payments received.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection activities, such as sending reminders and making phone calls.

• Collaborate with customers to address any payment-related inquiries or concerns.

• Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger with the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Prepare aging reports and summaries of accounts receivable for management review.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.

• Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends, potential bad debts, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes and implement efficient procedures.

• Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to accounts receivable.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.

Educational Qualifications & Professional Certificates

• Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

• Professional and Technical Certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as AR specialist.
