Role Main Purpose:
To lead Kidana's real estate investment strategy and development oversight, focusing on deal origination, financial structuring, and project viability.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
Development Management
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle of new projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage entitlements, permits, and approvals to ensure compliance with regulations.
Development Oversight (Non-Construction)
- Lead pre-development phases: entitlements, permitting, design coordination
- Establish project budgets, timelines, and feasibility parameters
- Monitor development progress through external project managers
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with operating partners
Business Development & Market Strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, developers, and government entities to source deals.
- Stay ahead of market trends, regulations, and economic conditions to identify growth areas.
- Lead bid proposals, RFPs, and partnership negotiations for new opportunities.
- Present investment recommendations to senior leadership with clear risk/reward analysis.
Stakeholder & Portfolio Growth
- Work closely with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Leasing) to align investments with corporate strategy.
- Monitor post-investment performance and recommend adjustments to maximize returns.
- Represent Kidana in industry forums and networking events to enhance market presence.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive deal discipline by enforcing stage-gate approvals and post-investment reviews.
- Model capital efficiency through optimal project structuring Bridge market gaps by translating feasibility insights into executable project parameters.
- Develop next-gen dealmakers through hands-on coaching of investment analysts.
- Mitigate execution risks by anticipating regulatory/entitlement hurdles pre-closing.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels aimed at contributing to the achievement of the strategic objectives of Kidana.
- Set performance management objectives based on business development and feasibility KPI’s and performance targets for all reporting team members and perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
- Direct the identification of talent for pivotal roles in coordination with the Human Capital Department from a succession management standpoint.
- Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of unresolved grievances or conflicts among team members.
Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance,Real Estate, or related field.
Professional and Technical Certificates (Preferred Only): CFA (Preferred), CPRM
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 12+ years of experience in Finance,Real Estate, or related fields is preferred.
- 5+ years in management/leadership roles
